Advising Family Offices
Single Family Offices range in AUM amount, interest/investment in public v. private, fund v. direct, domestic v. foreign, and internal v. external managers, strategies, and asset classes to a mind-blowing degree. Thus, working with them is anything but cookie-cutter; those advisors and asset managers who might like to gain access to these amorphous asset owners need to know how to approach them, discuss investments and other matters, provide counsel, and effect implementation of their plan/offering. This panel will look into all this and more!

Getting to Know Family Offices
“If you’ve met one family office, you’ve met one family office,” or so the saying goes. The experience of many who have dealt with these entities is more akin to knowing 0.10 or 0.20 family offices, even after many years of interaction. The reality is many families are uber-private and, frankly, see no need or upside in broadcasting anything about themselves and their interests/tendancies. To be fair, they may not be fully aware of their underlying needs/interests until they see something that might fulfill them. This panel features a selection of (obviously) more open families who will tell something of their stories and provide insight into how outside providers can work with them and their peers.
