Overview
Seemingly brand new in the world of investment is the metaverse, which is a digital world or universe in which players/participants can do many of the tasks and activities that they might in real life: donning ‘clothing’ or skins, buying property, interacting with others (in a multitude of ways), and even earn money. These alternative worlds have been around for years (including their requisite digital currencies) and have come into the spotlight/limelight as crypto-currencies and one’s online presence have come to the fore and become more important for many. Join us for this panel of experts in the field that will shed light on this burgeoning area of interest.

Andrew Kiguel is the co-founder and CEO of Tokens.com, a publicly listed company that invests in Web3 assets and businesses like the Metaverse, DeFi and NFTs. Andrew is also the Executive Chairman of Metaverse Group and the co-founder and former CEO of Hut 8 Mining, one of the largest publicly listed bitcoin miners in the world.
Prior to that, Andrew spent 20 years as an investment banker with a focus on technology and real estate. Andrew is an accomplished executive with leadership experience in capital markets, corporate governance and entrepreneurship.

Kaitlin Thompson is Vice President of Product Strategy at Evolve ETFs. Prior to joining Evolve ETFs, Kaitlin was at Mackenzie Investments doing a variety of different roles. Most recently, she was a Business Development Manager in Retail Distribution covering downtown Toronto. Prior to her sales role, she was part of Mackenzie’s Business Management Rotational Program. The program included rotations in Marketing, Retail Distribution, Product and Operations. Kaitlin graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Queens University and is currently a Level 3 CFA candidate.

Wrote and produced films for HBO, Showtime, PBS, CBS, ABC, Comedy Central, etc. Crusader for equal opportunity for media makers globally.
