DR DAVID FISMAN PROFESSOR OF EPIDEMIOLOGY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO EXPLAINS COVID19 AND WHAT TO EXPECT GOING FORWARD – PART 2

Overview

In partnership with CFA Society Toronto

Join us with Dr. Fisman for Part 2 of our COVID-19 update covering all you want to know about COVID-19 and may not have heard yet from other sources.

We are bombarded with information on the pandemic by NGOs like the WHO, national and provincial governments, and other experts (or ‘experts’). This is your opportunity to hear from Dr. David Fisman, an award-winning University of Toronto tenured professor of Epidemiology and infectious diseases – including the math and modeling behind them and the decision-making and cost-effectiveness analysis required to respond to threats and in-process epidemics and pandemics.

In this instalment, we will speak to how several geographies across the globe have managed the coronavirus outbreak and the successive COVID-19 treatments. Our focus will be on learning from these many-varied approaches with an eye to understanding what regimes and processes might make sense in a potential resurgence as well as how to mitigate negative effects which might come from re-opening the economies of the world.
