Emily Burgess is a Business Developer for the University of Waterloo’s co-op program. She specializes in helping small businesses and start-ups access student talent. She manages relationships with provincial and national associations running marketing campaigns to promote student hiring. Emily is a Waterloo graduate from the Arts and Business program.

Dorothy He is a passionate finance professional who has extensive experience in the Treasury field. Dorothy started her Treasury career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she was responsible for managing the CAD balance to minimize the interest cost of the firm. Later Dorothy joined the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) and became an integral part of the company’s various projects and initiatives. She took on the initiative of implementing the Cashflow Tracker site which enabled business units to communicate cashflow information to Treasury in a systematic way. Dorothy’s recent role was the Manager, Cash Management and Treasury at IMCO where she oversees daily cash operations, cash forecast, and liquidity monitoring for clients’ segregated accounts. She finds it rewarding to manage cash effectively by taking into consideration of different funding characteristics of various asset portfolios in a sophisticated asset management organization. Dorothy has a Master of Finance from Queen’s University.

Gallant MacDonald team – CIBC Wood Gundy
Greg Taylor is a Research Associate on the Gallant MacDonald team at CIBC Wood Gundy and directly supports the Portfolio Management team by completing investment due diligence and by providing the highest quality of service to our UHNW families and institutional clients. Our team has a unique focus on alternative investments including merger arbitrage, credit, private debt, direct real estate and infrastructure, and various hedge fund strategies. Greg graduated from the University of Waterloo’s Math/CPA program in 2018 with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. During his time at the University of Waterloo, he had co-op positions as a tax preparer at PwC, as an analyst at a VC firm involved in the cannabis sector Green Acre Capital, and as an analyst at Saas-based lending company Espresso Capital. He is a Registered Representative with IIROC and a CFA Level III Candidate.
