Andrey Omelchak is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of LionGuard Capital Management, the Company he founded in April 2014.

Before LionGuard, Andrey worked as Portfolio Manager at Montrusco Bolton Investments, where he oversaw mandates with combined assets under management of over $1.35 billion.

Prior to that, Andrey worked in the sell-side research department at Dundee Securities. Andrey strongly believes that an excellent understanding of the inner workings of the sell-side makes him a better investor. Before Dundee, Andrey worked in research, trading, and risk management roles at a Montreal-based Bellator Fund Management. Initially hired as a risk manager, Andrey subsequently moved to research and trading roles within the company.

Mr. Omelchak graduated with distinction from Concordia University, in Montreal, where he completed both his B.Comm, and M.Sc. (Finance) degrees. His graduate thesis was published in The Journal of Portfolio Management and The Journal of Derivatives & Hedge Funds.

Andrey also obtained Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. He is a frequent guest and commentator on various media channels and speaker at industry panels.

Before joining Forum, Aly served as the Executive Vice President of Investments & Asset Management at Hullmark, a private urban real estate investor and developer in Downtown Toronto and was instrumental in the firm’s AUM growth by 15x to $1B in 7 years. During his tenure, Aly led partnership formations with Sun Life Investment Management, First Capital REIT and OCAD University.

Over the course of his career, Aly has developed experience in all major real estate asset classes and has been involved with principal investments valued at more than $6 billion. He has also led a variety of functions including investments, development, asset management and operations.

In addition to his professional experience, Aly has been involved in a number of board positions and advocacy roles. He was the President of the NAIOP Greater Toronto Chapter in 2022, one of the commercial real estate industry’s largest advocacy groups, and served as a board member for 6 years. Aly currently serves as a member of OCAD University’s Board of Governors, Physical Resources and Capital Assets Committee (“PRCAC”) and the Joint Board and Senate Liaison subcommittee.

Prior to joining Coller Capital in April 2022, Jake spent 25 years at UBS where he led the Private Markets effort within UBS Global Wealth Management, based in London. Prior to that Jake co-founded and co-led the Private Funds Group within UBS Investment Bank, based in New York.

He previously worked at Freshfields in London where he qualified as a solicitor working in the Tax Team with a focus on collective investment schemes.

Jake has a degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Bristol.
