Getting to Know Family Offices

“If you’ve met one family office, you’ve met one family office,” or so the saying goes. The experience of many who have dealt with these entities is more akin to knowing 0.10 or 0.20 family offices, even after many years of interaction. The reality is many families are uber-private and, frankly, see no need or upside in broadcasting anything about themselves and their interests/tendancies. To be fair, they may not be fully aware of their underlying needs/interests until they see something that might fulfill them. This panel features a selection of (obviously) more open families who will tell something of their stories and provide insight into how outside providers can work with them and their peers.

Your Journey in Alternatives

This panel brings together diverse, local allocators as they describe their sojourn in the alts landscape – from when they first came in contact with these diversifying investments, how they arrived at setting an allocation in their client portfolios, how they view them now (after a few years of experience), and where they see the industry headed over the next while. Attendees will learn how one can perform the needed diligence not only on specific opportunities and asset classes, but the sector in general – as well as how to best apply it to their clientele and size trades accordingly.

Get Real in Real Assets

In inflationary times, investors and their advisors need to seriously consider investments that can keep pace with the obvious decline in purchasing power that many assets bring, as well as provide their own diversifying properties. All of this is of little use if investors cannot understand what they are buying – and this panel features three asset managers whose offering provides all of the above features with the added benefit of being immediately relatable by virtually every investor. Join us to learn about how one can inoculate one’s portfolio from the ravages of inflation.
